The people of ancient Greece, known for their influential civilization, philosophy, literature, and city‑states such as Athens and Sparta. In Scripture’s cosmic‑geography worldview, the Greeks represent one of the 70 nations scattered from Babel and placed under the authority of a territorial elohim (a “Son of God”) rather than under YHVH’s direct rule. Their pantheon—Zeus, Apollo, Athena, and others—reflects the worship of these rebellious divine beings who demanded honor instead of pointing the nations back to the Most High .

Biblically, Greece becomes a major stage for spiritual conflict and gospel expansion, especially in the New Testament era, where Paul confronts both Greek philosophy and the influence of these territorial powers.
